Behind the camera…
Considering the amount of pictures I’ve taken of other people – ta dah – here is the first one I’ve taken of myself! I thought for this week’s blog post I should tell you a little bit about the person behind the camera.
I’m so privileged in this job to be invited into other peoples homes and take a snapshot of their lives. I feel humbled to get to know other families and love taking pictures of their little ones that they will treasure for a lifetime.
My plan for blogging is to give you more of an idea of what I do on shoots, and the style of shoots I do. And hopefully you like my pictures enough to follow me!
So, without further a do, here are my vital statistics…
- Name: Firstly Mummy, followed by Suzie, Sooooz, Suzanne (very serious), Suey, Poo (not because I smell but that’s what my little sister calls me – thanks Leah)
- Lives: Bubwith, Yorkshire
- Age: 33
- Height: Pretty small – 5ft3 and a half (which obviously is very important)
- Children: Two adorable girls – Freya Elise (aged 3 3/4) and Otillie Wren (aged 16 months)
- Likes: Being a mum, and my hubby (of course), portrait photography, baby pics, country living, interior design (currently decorating) hats (can you tell from the pic), chocolate, beauty products, make-up, spas, walking, being silly with my little people and friends, dancing, food – I love cooking for people, but lurrrvvve going out for dinner. Oh and prosecco…naturally
- Dislikes: Marmite – I can’t believe I’m married to a lover of the devil food.
- Previous jobs and current profession: journalist, beauty editor, writer and now my main role is mummy, as well as family and baby photographer.
- Party trick: not really sure if this a party trick but I can say the alphabet backwards in under 4 seconds.
- Currently learning: the piano! Expect a full rendition of Jingle Bells by Christmas.
- Hobbies: walking, dancing – modern and tap, baking and cooking, interior design and of course taking photos of my own little people.
